The event was a great success, with hundreds of attendees turning up to over ten participating venues to sample the wide range of musical and performance delights on show:

• 47 bands
• 200 musicians (from 3 years old!)
• 12 official venues (plus 3 unofficial and spontaneous venues!)
• 56 performances
• Non-stop 12 hours celebration of all kinds of music

The next Fête de la Musique is scheduled for 21 June 2010 and will see the Alliance Française and KULCHA expand the event to include more venues and performances, and we look forward to getting you back again!

Musicians, venues, volunteers and audience, your unique contribution to this event is deeply appreciated and we hope you enjoyed the day. We have had amazing feedback on all of the performances; the musicians and dancers featured in the first Fête De La Musique Fremantle were extremely well received by the public, and the artists applauded all venues for their hospitality.

Our aim was to rock the global village and to rock Freo as well as in France the same day, and by jove we did it! We really enjoyed to “re-create” the Fête de la Musique in Fremantle and already looking forward the next one…
